Nokia 5230 is a highly hyped low cost touch screen smartphone which will be released in January 2010. It comes in a variety of colors and is targeted primarily at the youth. Some even create custom lanyards specifically designed for this phone. With the Nokia 5230, Nokia aims to grab a share of the segment currently dominated by LG Cookie and Samsung Corby. It is expected to be priced at around $150, which will attract a large number of customers . Nokia 5230 is being seen by many as a stripped down version of the highly popular and successful Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. The 5230 is very much similar to the 5800 in terms of looks. The 5230 has only a standard 2 megapixel camera and does not possess wifi connectivity unlike its costlier cousin, which is justifiable considering the difference in price between the two. However, the 5230 still comes which with 3G connectivity which is indeed pretty cool. It has a standard 3.5 mm audio jack. This resistive touchscreen phone comes with proximity sensor for auto on/off, handwriting recognition and an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate.Get your latest Phone Covers for this phone today! Nokia has decided to do away with any tag such as XpressMusic or N series, which is pretty surprising considering that nokia has been releasing all phones(other than low-end ones) from its stable with some tag or the other for quite some time now.

It’s the new internet tablet set to rule the market. The device, which once many thought was not a viable concept, is now a reality. Michael Arrington and his team have succeeded in developing the CrunchPad and it is now ready for launch.
The spec sheet - Fully touch screen, 1 GB RAM, 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor,2.64 pounds, 12" screen, 18mm thick aluminum casing , capable of running Linux , 3G connectivity , 4 GB memory and so on.
At first sight, everyone will fall for its nice looks and awesome screen. The large high resolution screen enables good readability .With 3G and rumored wifi support it comes in handy as a surfer.
CrunchPad’s developers think that this device will carve out its own segment in the market. The device will serve as a good eBook reader competing against the Amazons’ Kindle Reader.
The expected price of this device is between $300-400. Keeping in mind its wonderfully sleek looks and the features it offers, it is good value for money.
The added functionality over other devices in the market gives the CrunchPad the edge. But the question is whether people will go in for such a device that is positioned in between an e-reader and a netbook. However, keeping in mind its price people will indeed be drawn towards this device.
